How We Assign Players to Teams

The organizers for rec soccer take a few different factors into account during the assignment of players to time slots:
  • Player Skill Level: During registration, players are asked to report their soccer skill level, which ranges from 1 (for players with minimal experience) to 5 (for highly skilled players). We try to distribute the skill levels evenly among all teams to make them fair! This approach sets us apart from other recreational leagues in the city.
  • Friends: Registrants often ask to play with friends, spouses and family members! This year, players can write the names of up to four players that they would like to play with and we will do our best to satisfy their wishes. Please note that all named players must still register online and pay the league fee in order to play. No exceptions!
  • Gender Ratio: We try to ensure that each team has an equal number of players from each gender! We strive to create a soccer environment where all players are able to actively participate!
Please email us or tell us if you plan to be absent from a given session! We might be able to call someone on the waitlist or give interested players a few extra hours of gameplay.
